How to use this attendance sheet maker
Paste or type the names of your students, one on each line. If the names already carry a roll number at the start, the attendance sheet maker keeps it; otherwise it numbers the rows for you. Choose the month and the tool lays out every date of that month as a column, shades Fridays (and Saturdays if your school closes then) and any extra holidays you type, and adds two columns at the end for the total present and absent days. Print it on A4 landscape, or choose "Save as PDF" in the print window to keep a copy on your phone or send it on WhatsApp.
The sheet can be in Bangla or English. Bangla sheets use Bangla digits for dates and the Bangla month name, which is what most schools and madrasas in Bangladesh keep in the office file. Nothing you type leaves your browser: the names are not uploaded anywhere.
What a monthly attendance sheet should have
A good class attendance register records the institution, class, section, month and the class teacher, then one row per student with a mark for every working day. Use "P" for present and "A" for absent, or a tick and a cross, but keep one style for the whole year. At the end of the month, count the present days for each student; the attendance percentage is present days divided by working days, times 100. Many schools ask for at least 75% attendance before a student can sit the annual exam, so the monthly totals matter. Our attendance percentage calculator works it out for you.
Paper sheet or an attendance app?
A printed attendance sheet is quick and every teacher understands it, but it has to be counted by hand, it is easy to lose, and parents never see it. A teacher with 40 students and 24 working days writes almost a thousand marks a month. If you take attendance every day, an attendance app saves that work: one tap per student, totals and percentages calculated for you, and a monthly sheet you can still print. Hazira Khata is a free Bangla attendance app for schools, madrasas and coaching centres in Bangladesh; it also makes result sheets, admit cards and ID cards. Use this sheet maker when you need paper, and the app when you want the counting done for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make an attendance sheet for my class?
Type the student names one per line, choose the month and press Make attendance sheet. Every date becomes a column, Fridays and holidays are shaded, and present and absent totals sit at the end. Then print it or save it as a PDF.
Can I make the attendance sheet in Bangla?
Yes. Choose বাংলা as the sheet language and the headings, month name and dates are printed in Bangla, the way most schools and madrasas in Bangladesh keep their register.
How do I save the attendance sheet as a PDF?
Press Print or save as PDF, then pick Save as PDF as the printer. On an Android phone, choose Save as PDF from the printer list in Chrome.
Can I open the attendance sheet in Excel?
Yes. Download Excel (CSV) gives a file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets with the same columns, so you can fill it on a computer.
How is attendance percentage calculated?
Divide the days a student was present by the working days in the period and multiply by 100. A student present 20 of 24 working days has 83.3% attendance.
Are my students' names uploaded anywhere?
No. The sheet is built inside your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server.
