How to Play Word Guess
Word Guess challenges you to figure out a hidden 5-letter word within six attempts. Type any valid English word and press Enter to submit your guess. After each guess, every letter tile flips to reveal a clue. A filled tile means the letter is in the correct spot. A tile with a bold border means the letter is in the word but in the wrong position. A dimmed tile means the letter is not in the word at all. Use these clues to narrow down the answer with each subsequent guess. The on-screen keyboard also updates so you can track which letters you have already tried.
Daily Puzzle vs Unlimited Mode
In daily mode, everyone gets the same word each day. You get one attempt per day, and your streak tracks how many consecutive days you solve the puzzle. Switch to unlimited mode to practice as much as you want with a random word each round. Unlimited mode is perfect for sharpening your strategy without waiting for the next daily puzzle. Hard mode requires you to use all confirmed clues in every subsequent guess, adding an extra layer of challenge for experienced players.
Tips and Strategy for Word Guess
Start with a word that has common vowels and consonants. Words like CRANE, SLATE, or AUDIO cover frequently used letters. Pay attention to letter frequency in English. E, A, R, O, T, L, I, S, and N are the most common letters. After your first guess, use the revealed clues to eliminate possibilities. Avoid repeating letters you know are absent. In hard mode, you must reuse every correctly placed letter and include every confirmed letter in your next guess. Tracking consonant clusters and common endings like -TION, -IGHT, or -OUND helps when you are stuck. Most importantly, think before you type. Rushing leads to wasted guesses.

After completing a game, you can share your result as a text grid showing your path to the answer without revealing the word. The share button copies a pattern of squares to your clipboard that you can paste anywhere. Compare your performance with friends and see who solved it in fewer guesses.
