How the Eid Salami Tracker Works

Eid Salami, also known as Eidi or Eidiya across different Muslim cultures, is one of the most joyful traditions of Eid celebrations. Elders give monetary gifts to younger family members, friends share tokens of appreciation, and the exchange of Salami creates a warm sense of community and love. But keeping track of who gave what and how much you have given out can quickly become overwhelming, especially in large families.

This Eid Salami Tracker lets you record every Salami transaction in two categories: received and given. For each entry, you log the person's name, their relationship to you, the amount, and the currency. The tool instantly calculates your totals, net balance, highest single Salami, number of people involved, and average amount. Everything updates in real time as you add or remove entries.

Fun Badges and Shareable Report

As you track your Salami, the tool awards fun badges based on your data. Receive Salami from ten or more people and earn the "Salami King/Queen" badge. Give to five or more people and you become a "Generous Soul." Give over 5000 in total to unlock "Big Spender," or receive over 10000 to claim "Lucky One." These badges add a playful element to the tradition and make tracking your Eid gifts more engaging.

The highlight feature is the shareable Eid Salami Report card. With one click, the tool generates a beautiful summary image featuring your totals, net balance, number of people, and earned badges. The card is generated entirely in your browser using the Canvas API — no data leaves your device. Download it as a PNG and share it with friends and family on social media, WhatsApp, or anywhere else. It is a fun way to celebrate the generosity of your Eid.

All your data is saved automatically in your browser's LocalStorage, so it persists between visits. You can return to the tracker at any time during Eid to add new entries. When the celebrations are over and you want a fresh start, the Clear All button removes everything with a single confirmation. The tool supports nine currencies used across Muslim communities worldwide, from BDT and PKR to SAR, AED, USD, and more.
