AI Pose Estimation — Free, Private, Browser-Only
Body pose estimation is an AI technique that detects human body joints and limbs in images. This tool uses MediaPipe's Pose Landmarker model running directly in your browser to identify 33 key body landmarks including the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles.
Unlike cloud-based pose detection services, your photos are never uploaded anywhere. The AI model downloads once and runs entirely on your device. This makes it safe for personal fitness photos, medical rehabilitation images, or any private content.
What Gets Detected
- Head & Face — Nose, eyes, ears, mouth landmarks
- Upper Body — Shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers
- Torso — Hip joints, spine alignment indicators
- Lower Body — Knees, ankles, feet, toes
- Skeleton Lines — Connections between joints drawn on the image
Use Cases for Pose Detection
Fitness form checking: Upload a photo of your squat, deadlift, or push-up and see if your joints are aligned correctly. The skeleton overlay makes it easy to spot form issues. Yoga poses: Compare your pose against reference images to improve your practice. Physical therapy: Track range of motion and body alignment during rehabilitation exercises. Dance: Analyze choreography and body positions frame by frame.
TikTok-Worthy AI
This tool has viral potential: "Check your workout form with AI." Upload a gym selfie, a yoga photo, or a dance move and see the AI skeleton overlay. Download the annotated image to share on social media. The neon skeleton lines look amazing on any photo.
Privacy You Can Trust
Fitness and body photos are deeply personal. This tool ensures your privacy by processing everything locally. The pose detection model runs via MediaPipe in your browser — no server involved. Open the Network tab in your browser's developer tools to verify: zero data is transmitted when analyzing your photo.
Works in All Browsers, Offline Too
After the initial model download, the pose detection model is cached and works offline. Compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and all modern browsers. No special hardware or GPU required — it runs on any device.
