What are the 7 Strengthened Quality Standards?
The Person, The Organisation, The Workforce, Clinical Care, The Environment, Food & Nutrition, Feedback & Improvement. They replaced the 8-standard framework from July 2025 commencement (subject to final government timing).
Who must comply?
All approved providers of Commonwealth-subsidised aged care under the Aged Care Act.
How are they assessed?
Through accreditation visits by ACQSC assessors — announced and unannounced.
Is open disclosure compulsory?
Yes. Open disclosure is a standalone Standard 7 requirement for serious adverse events.
