Surtax

A 3% surtax applies to annual taxable income exceeding ₪721,560, so the maximum income tax rate is 50%. Since 2025 a further 2% surtax applies to the part of income from capital sources (such as capital gains, dividends, interest and rent) above the same threshold; this calculator does not add that 2%.

Credit Points (Nekudot Zikui)

Each point is worth ₪242 per month, which is ₪2,904 per year, deducted from the tax itself. Resident individuals are entitled to a minimum of 2.25 points (₪6,534 a year). Additional points are granted for, among other things, dependent children, new immigrants and single-parent families; enter your own total.

Worked Example

Taxable income ₪180,000 with 2.25 points: ₪13,536 on the first ₪120,720 plus 20% of ₪59,280 (₪11,856) = ₪25,392, less ₪6,534 of credit points = ₪18,858.
