Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 25, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Teamz Lab Tools — including the Teamz Lab Video Publisher application (registered with TikTok for Developers) — (collectively the "Service", "we", "us", "our") — operated by Teamz Lab and available at tool.teamzlab.com — collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information.
Teamz Lab Tools is a web-based publishing platform that provides free online calculators and a content-distribution module branded as Teamz Lab Video Publisher for its short-form video publishing integration with TikTok. The distribution module allows users to publish short-form videos and written articles to connected third-party platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Pinterest, Bluesky, and Mastodon.
By using Teamz Lab Tools or Teamz Lab Video Publisher, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Data We Collect
a. Calculator and Tool Inputs
All calculator inputs and results are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We do not send calculator data to any server. Some tools use your browser's localStorage to remember recent inputs for convenience; this data never leaves your device and can be cleared from browser settings at any time.
b. Analytics
We use third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Ahrefs Analytics) to understand general usage patterns such as page views, visitor counts, and aggregated device/region data. These services may set cookies. We do not collect personally identifiable information through our calculators.
c. Advertising
We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. You can manage preferences through your browser or the ad network's opt-out page.
d. Contact Form
If you submit our contact form, the information you provide (name, email, message) is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell or share this data.
e. Third-Party Account Connections (Distribution Module)
When you (as an authorised operator of Teamz Lab Tools) connect a third-party platform account via OAuth — including TikTok, YouTube/Google, Dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, Pinterest, Bluesky, or Mastodon — Teamz Lab Tools receives and stores only the tokens and minimum profile data required to publish on your behalf. Specifically we may collect:
- OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens
- Your platform username, display name, avatar, and open ID
- Basic account metadata required to publish content (for example, TikTok
creator_infosuch as allowed privacy levels, max video duration, and whether duet/stitch is enabled) - Upload status, video ID, and publish timestamp returned by the platform after a successful upload
We do not collect or store your password, private messages, contacts, or any content beyond what you explicitly publish through the Service.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data collected strictly to:
- Operate the Service and provide the distribution features you request
- Upload your content to the third-party platforms you have connected
- Refresh expired OAuth tokens to keep your connections working
- Track rate-limit state per platform (for example, TikTok's 2/day, 5/week limits) so we do not violate platform rules
- Understand aggregate site usage and improve the product
- Respond to support inquiries
We do not sell your data. We do not use OAuth-connected data for advertising or profiling. We do not use TikTok user data to train machine-learning models.
4. Where Data Is Stored
OAuth tokens and configuration data for the distribution module are stored in local configuration files on the operator's own machine (for example, under ~/.config/teamzlab/). They are not transmitted to Teamz Lab's servers. Calculator inputs remain in browser localStorage on the user's device.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- The third-party platforms you have explicitly connected, and only for the purpose of publishing the content you submit through the Service.
- Analytics and advertising providers (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Microsoft Clarity, Ahrefs) for aggregated usage measurement.
- Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
We never sell user data.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
OAuth tokens are retained until you disconnect the relevant platform. You can revoke access at any time by:
- TikTok: tiktok.com → Settings → Security & Permissions → Manage app permissions → revoke "Teamz Lab Tools"
- Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Other platforms: via the equivalent connected-apps settings on each platform
After revocation we delete the corresponding token on our side on next use. You can also request deletion of any remaining data by emailing [email protected]; we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Teamz Lab Tools is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures — including HTTPS encryption in transit, least-privilege OAuth scopes, and local-only token storage — to protect your information. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Users
Teamz Lab is based in the United Kingdom. If you use the Service from outside the UK, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the UK and in the jurisdictions of our third-party providers (including the United States, where many analytics and advertising providers are located).
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
11. Third-Party Links
The Service may link to external websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before providing data.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on this page.
13. Contact Us
For questions about this Privacy Policy or to exercise your data rights, contact us or email [email protected].
