Malaysia SOCSO + EIS 2027 Calculator
Malaysia SOCSO (Social Security) 2027: tier-based contribution with ceiling at RM5,000 monthly wage. Employee 0.5%, employer 1.75%. Employment Insurance System (EIS): 0.2% each on same wage base. PERKESO administers both.
SOCSO Coverage
Work injury, invalidity, dependant benefits. Two schemes: Employment Injury (employer-only contribution if SOCSO Act 1969) + Invalidity (both contribute).
EIS — Employment Insurance
Effective 2018. Provides up to 6 months income support after job loss (40-80% of last 3-month average salary). Funded 0.2% + 0.2%.
Foreign Workers
Compulsory for foreigners holding work permits. Employer pays both portions (no employee deduction for foreigner).
