Search Blood Donors
Pick a blood group and city. We show verified, available donors — including all compatible blood types automatically.
How donor matching works
RoktoLagbe finds medically compatible donors — not just exact blood-group matches. If you search for B+, the system also surfaces O+ and O− donors (universal donors who can give blood to B+ patients). This is critical in emergencies because exact-match donors aren't always available within hours.
Blood group compatibility — who can donate to whom
- O− donors: can give to any blood type. Universal donor.
- O+ donors: can give to A+, B+, AB+, O+ (positive recipients only).
- A− / A+: A− gives to A−, A+, AB−, AB+. A+ gives to A+, AB+.
- B− / B+: B− gives to B−, B+, AB−, AB+. B+ gives to B+, AB+.
- AB− / AB+: AB− gives to AB−, AB+. AB+ gives to AB+ only — but can receive from anyone.
Why we hide donor phone numbers
Donor phone numbers are never shown publicly to prevent spam, harassment, and scam calls. When you click "Request Contact" on a donor's card, the donor receives a private notification with the patient's blood need and hospital. Only after the donor consents do you exchange contact details — through an in-app masked channel.
Tips for faster donor response
Be specific. Donors respond fastest when requests include: hospital name and address, exact blood units needed, urgency level, contact name and relation to patient, and (optionally) the patient's brief medical context. Vague requests get slower responses. If no donor in your city responds within 30 minutes, post an emergency request — the system auto-broadcasts to a wider radius and triggers SMS plus WhatsApp alerts.
