Singapore MediSave + CPF LIFE Payout Calculator
CPF LIFE provides a lifelong monthly payout from age 65 based on your Retirement Account balance at age 55. Use this calculator to estimate your monthly payout under the Standard, Basic, or Escalating CPF LIFE plan, plus your MediSave Required Amount obligations.
What Is CPF LIFE?
CPF LIFE (Lifelong Income For the Elderly) is Singapore's compulsory annuity scheme that provides monthly payouts for life starting from age 65. It is administered by the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB) and covers all members born in 1958 or later. Your monthly payout is determined by the Retirement Sum you set aside in your Retirement Account (RA) at age 55, your CPF LIFE plan choice, and CPF Board's actuarial assumptions on interest rates and life expectancy.
2026 Retirement Sums (BRS, FRS, ERS)
Per CPF Board 2026 announcements (cpf.gov.sg):
- Basic Retirement Sum (BRS): S$106,500 (2026). Approx S$880–S$960/month payout from age 65.
- Full Retirement Sum (FRS): S$213,000 (2026). Approx S$1,670–S$1,810/month from age 65.
- Enhanced Retirement Sum (ERS): S$426,000 (2026, increased from 3× BRS to 4× BRS in 2025). Approx S$3,300–S$3,580/month.
If you own a property, you can opt to set aside only the BRS instead of the FRS — but property must be pledged to cover the difference.
Three CPF LIFE Plans Compared
- Standard Plan (default): Higher monthly payouts, lower bequest to beneficiaries. Best if you want maximum income for yourself.
- Basic Plan: Lower monthly payouts but a larger bequest to beneficiaries. Best if leaving an inheritance is a priority.
- Escalating Plan: Starts at ~80% of Standard rate, increases 2% each year to keep pace with inflation. Best for longer life expectancy + inflation hedging.
You can switch between plans before payouts begin. Once payouts start, the plan is locked.
MediSave + Basic Healthcare Sum (BHS)
MediSave is your healthcare savings account. The Basic Healthcare Sum (BHS) for 2026 is S$75,500 — the maximum balance MediSave can hold for members below 65. Once you turn 65, your BHS is frozen at the prevailing amount, never increased again. Excess goes to your Retirement Account, then your Ordinary Account.
