Bingo Card Generator

Make up to 100 different printable bingo cards in one go: classic 75-ball cards, UK-style 90-ball tickets, or cards filled with your own words. Print them or save them as a PDF. It makes the cards only; it does not call numbers, check winners or add pictures.

A bingo card generator fills bingo grids at random so that each player gets a different card. This one makes up to 100 cards at a time in three formats: 75-ball cards with B-I-N-G-O columns, 90-ball tickets, and word cards from your own list. Every card in a set is different, and you print or save the set as a PDF.

How to Make Bingo Cards

  1. Pick a card type. 75-ball for a classic number game, 90-ball for UK-style tickets, or your own words for a party, classroom or meeting.
  2. For word bingo, add your list. Put one word or short phrase on each line. The counter under the box shows how many the card needs.
  3. Choose the number of cards, one per player, and how many cards you want on each printed page.
  4. Press Make bingo cards, then Print or save as PDF. In the print window, pick your printer, or pick Save as PDF as the destination to send the file to players.

75-Ball vs 90-Ball Bingo Cards

The two number games use different cards. The layouts below follow the standard rules described in Wikipedia's articles on bingo in the United States and in the United Kingdom.

Common winsA line, four corners, a pattern, a full cardOne line, two lines, full house

On a 90-ball ticket every column holds at least one number, and the numbers in a column rise from top to bottom, so players can find a called number quickly. This generator follows both rules.

Word Bingo Ideas

Word bingo works anywhere people listen for something: a baby or bridal shower (gifts opened), a classroom (vocabulary or sight words read aloud), a road trip (things seen out of the window), a holiday party, or a long work meeting (phrases people say). A 5 × 5 card with a free centre needs 24 entries, a 4 × 4 card 16, and a 3 × 3 card with a free centre 8. Small children and quick games suit the 3 × 3 grid.

Give the list more entries than one card needs. With 24 words and a 5 × 5 card, every card holds the same words in a different order, so in a full-card game all players finish together. Around 35 to 50 entries makes the cards clearly different. Keep each entry short; two or three words fit a printed square well.

Printing Tips

The cards are drawn with a Fisher–Yates shuffle seeded from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, and a card that repeats one already in the set is thrown away. Nothing is sent to a server. More printable and random helpers are in the Tools hub.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make printable bingo cards?

Pick 75-ball, 90-ball or your own words, choose how many cards you need and press Make bingo cards. Then press Print or save as PDF. In the print window you can send the cards to a printer or choose Save as PDF as the destination.

Are all the bingo cards different?

Yes. Every card in one set is checked against the others, and a repeat is thrown away and drawn again, so no two cards in the set are the same. Two sets made separately are not checked against each other, so make all the cards for one game in one go.

How many words do I need for word bingo?

A 5 by 5 card with a free centre needs 24 words, a 4 by 4 card needs 16 and a 3 by 3 card with a free centre needs 8. Use more words than that so the cards differ. With exactly the minimum, every card holds the same words in a different order, and the tool tells you so.

What is the difference between 75-ball and 90-ball bingo cards?

75-ball cards, common in the US and Canada, are 5 by 5 grids under the letters B, I, N, G, O with a free space in the middle. 90-ball tickets, common in the UK and Ireland, have 3 rows and 9 columns with 15 numbers, 5 on each row.

Does this tool call the numbers or check winners?

No. It makes the cards only. To call numbers, use a random number generator set from 1 to 75 or 1 to 90 and cross off each number as it is called. To check a winning card, use the card number printed on it and the share link, which rebuilds the exact same set.

Is my word list saved or uploaded?

The cards are made in your browser. Your settings and words are kept in this browser's local storage for next time and are not sent to us. Clear removes them.
